EMF Detector
As a team we use a few different types of EMF detectors. This being another one of them. With the push of a button, this simple and accurate gaussmeter measures the level of magnetic field emitted by all common electrical appliances and equipment. An easy to read 10 LED light bar scale gives readings from 1.5 to 30 mG in small increments. The ElectroSensor has a detection range of 50-60 Hz with an accuracy of ±3dB. A pickup coil in the tip of the unit can be rotated for increased directionality. EMF risk can be avoided if you know where it is.
Infrared Night Vision Camera
The nightvision surveillance camera captures footage in complete darkness. Our cameras connect to TV monitors which are equipped with recording devices. This allows us to tape all of our night vision footage, which then enables us to review the footage after an investigation.
Hand Held Video Camera
We use a variety of video cameras on our hunts. Usually we have a stationary camera in order to catch activity in a certain area. Also, we try to record each session of the investigation.
Digital Voice Recorder
A digital handheld device that is used to record sounds. Very lightweight and typically using AAA batteries, such devices use flash memory to hold up to 100 messages and more. Messages can be retrieved sequentially or by direct access by message number. The digital recorder is capable of picking up sounds or voices that the human ear can't detect.
K2 Meter
It is believed that spirits are comprised of energy. In order to speak, make a noise or manifest in the form of an apparition, ghosts need to gather energy to do so. They use electricity to "build up" energy to give them enough power to make themselves known from the other side. EMF detectors are often used by paranormal investigators to measure electromagnetic fields at a location. After taking a base reading of the location, any fluctuation by an EMF detector that happens in conjunction with a noise, sighting or EVP recording, might possibly indicate the presence of a spirit. If you know the locations of the natural electrical energy of the location and have the base readings, any fluctuation in the meters can be a valuable asset to the investigator
The K2 EMF meter is a standard EMF detector, much like it's competitors. Most EMF detectors use a needle that will move up and down when indicating electromagnetic energy. As there is an increase in the energy, the needle will move to the right, indicating the higher levels. The K2 meter uses lights to indicate the energy instead of a needle, flashing and then finally staying light at the level found with the meter.
Digital Camera
Each team member is equiped with a digital camera. It is better to take as many pictures as you can of the particular area you are investigating. Although not all cameras are the same, it helps when someone might not have a steady hand or batteries run low.
Hand Held Digital Thermometer
This thermometer is used to detect changes in temperature. When doing an investigation, it helps in determining if there is a cold spot or just a draft coming through.
